Vera Petkova
Vera Petkova is a Bulgarian photographer whose work explores the delicate boundaries between reality and abstraction. With a BA in Photography from New Bulgarian University, she has developed a distinctive visual language that transforms everyday subjects into contemplative art pieces.
Her artistic practice spans multiple series, from the intimate floral studies of "Daffodil" to the ethereal "Translucent" botanical abstractions and the deeply personal "Isolation" series born from the global lockdown of 2020. Through her lens, Petkova captures fragile moments and preserves them for eternity, finding inspiration in the beauty of nature, the play of light through organic forms, and the emotional landscape of human solitude.
Petkova's work has been recognized internationally, earning honorable mentions at the PX3 2015 Competition and the IPA 2015 Awards. Her photographs have been exhibited in galleries across Bulgaria, including the National Art Gallery in Sofia and the Society of Plovdiv Artists. Each limited edition print is produced as a Giclée on Hahnemühle paper, numbered and signed by the artist, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
